Philosophy of Ministry
My philosophy of ministry is centered on the supremacy of Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, the transforming work of the Holy Spirit, and the foundational priority of prayer.
Christ-Centered & Word-Driven
I believe the faithful exposition of God’s Word is the primary means by which God shapes His people. Scripture is inspired, authoritative, and sufficient for teaching, correction, and spiritual growth (2 Timothy 3:16). Therefore, I am committed to Christ-centered, expository preaching that clearly explains the biblical text, faithfully applies it, and consistently points people to the gospel.
Every ministry of the church should flow from and align with Scripture.
Disciple-Making & Spiritual Formation
The church exists to make mature disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19) who love God wholeheartedly and love others sacrificially (Matthew 22:37-39). Discipleship is not a program but a lifestyle of intentional spiritual formation.
I am committed to:
- Teaching and preaching the Word of God
- Encouraging small groups and mentoring relationships
- Equipping believers to discover and use their spiritual gifts
- Raising up leaders who can disciple others
Spiritual growth flourishes in an authentic community where believers encourage one another, speak truth in love, and walk together in obedience as true followers of Jesus.
Spirit-Empowered & Prayer-Dependent
Following the example of the early church in Acts of the Apostles, I believe ministry must be empowered by the Holy Spirit and sustained through fervent prayer. The church does not advance by human strength, strategy, or personality, but by the Spirit’s power (Zech. 4:6).
Prayer is not a preliminary activity; it is the engine of ministry (Ephesians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:17). Corporate prayer gatherings, personal devotion, intercessory prayer teams, and a culture of expectancy must mark the life of the church. Before decisions are made, sermons are preached, leaders are appointed, or ministries are launched, we seek the Lord together (Acts 6:6). We are to be a House of Prayer (Isaiah 56:7; Matthew 21:13).
Our ministry posture must be one of humble dependence, continual repentance, and expectant faith.
Overall Vision
My goal is to shepherd a church that is:
- Deeply rooted in Scripture
- Passionate in prayer
- Empowered by the Spirit
- Committed to disciple-making
- Focused on the glory of God
The ultimate goal is not merely church growth, but spiritual maturity, believers who follow Jesus and reflect His character, and faithfully advance His kingdom.
